Since the
band got home from the Spring ’07 tour,
O’2L once again have been sequestered in
their mountain retreat writing and recording new material as well as putting
the finishing touches on their upcoming
Peak Records
release – “Eat A Pickle”
– that is due to drop in October 2007. For those who can’t wait until
October to get their hands on a copy of this amazing record,
O’2L
is offering a limited number of “pre-release” copies
that are only available the official
O’2L Website.
Those of you
who were lucky enough to see this band on their wildly successful Spring ’07
tour got a taste of things to come from this new release when the band
pulled out “Gimme My Hat”
and
“Old Man Mo’s”. This record marks
somewhat of a departure from O’2L’s
eponymous debut and critically-acclaimed follow-up effort -“Doyle’s
Brunch.” With
Jane and
Al bringing in two
of the best vocalists working today,
Kelly
Keeling and
Tommy Farese,
and drawing on elements of funk, soul, R&B, and rock,
O’2L have added a
whole new dimension to their sound on “Eat A
Pickle”. In addition to his
incredible vocal contributions, Kelly
has been collaborating with Jane
on the writing of this new record.
Kelly
brings a distinctive, soulful feel to the new material that he’s penned with
Jane, and
the Mangini/Keeling
writing team does not disappoint.
